fashion merchandising degree
I am currently attending school, majoring in fashion marketing/merchandising.I am getting my associate of sciences degree, and people have been telling me that to become a buyer you need a bachelors degree. I was wondering with an associates degree and 2 years sales experiences in retail and an internship can i become an assistant buyer?
It may be difficult but if you tell or proove to them that you are going to pursue your bachelors degree someone will bite. Especially if you present yourself well. Write a letter of introduction to a purchasing manager. You will get a call but you must go after more than one.

I moved to Atlanta, GA almost 2 yrs ago and started working retail until I found something full time. The problem is that I haven't and feel like Im stuck in the mall. I have a degree in Fashion Merchandising but am willing to work in any industry. I'm looking for an office setting or work from home. I've been applying but haven't received any call backs. Help me please!
sometimes people's first or second jobs get them to work 15-20 hours per week and only take home $1000 or $1500 a month.. why dont you consider a mortgage loan officer job?.. a single loan can get you a 9-5 monthly salary right away.. and in the comfort of your home, you get great compensation, train online, work loans from any 46 US states.. exciting career.. see this source.

I love fashion and my dream is to own my own clothing store. I will buy clothing from others and sell them at my store. But, I also want to design my own clothing line. Should I go for a Fashion Design degree or Merchandise?
Parson's offers an excellent degree in Design Marketing/Merchandise.
I would definitely recommend marketing/merchandising due to it being easier and less competitive and demanding to Fashion Design. In order to become successful in the Fashion designing world you need to be exceptionally talented. Bus due to your keen interest in Fashion Design as well- you can always take extra classes or a less stressed degree in the subject.

fashion merchandising degree
I am from the US and I'm about to graduate with my Associate degree in fashion merchandising and marketing. My school (FIDM) does not have a BA program for this major. That is the reason I wanted to continue my studies at a fashion school in London.
I have studied in London, and am currently studying in Australia (I am American), and I think it's a great decision (aside from the fact that London is incredibly expensive, the exchange rate sucks, and much of it is a dirty hole – which is where you'll be living unless you're rich).
Especially in fashion (I am studying Music Business), I would think it was great to find someone to employ that was willing to place him/herself in foreign situations just to obtain the best knowledge about their field that they could. It shows ambition and fearlessness, which is never negative.
